About Abby Greenspun MS, RD, CDN

Abby is a Registered Dietitian with over 20 years experience helping adults and children prevent disease, improve their health and lose weight through good nutrition. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Clark University and a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Hunter College. Abby began her career as a Clinical and Ambulatory Care Nutritionist at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, one of the premiere hospitals in the country. She was later the nutritionist at Beth Israel Medical Center’s ALS clinic, and provided nutrition counseling for members of New York Sports Club, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and professional athletes.

Abby is currently in private practice, gives presentations on nutrition and has consulted on numerous nutrition books and articles. In addition to her private practice, she is affiliated with Willows Pediatric Group and the Southfield Center for Development. As a result of her passion for improving children’s health, she serves as a member of the Food Service Advisory Committee for the Westport School District. This group has been instrumental in making vast improvements to the nutritional quality of the food served in the schools.

Recently, Abby has merged her two passions, healthy eating and cooking, and has become a Pampered Chef consultant.  She is hoping to help other busy parents prepare delicious meals that the whole family will enjoy.  As a mother of two sons, and managing a thriving nutrition practice, Abby finds time to exercise regularly, and prepare a healthy dinner for her family (most nights).
